For example, suppose all you have are $25 chips and you want to make a $10 Pass Line bet. Unless you have a physical handicap, the only other time the dealer will make a Pass Line bet for you is when you don’t have the proper chip denominations and you need change. The Pass Line bet is a self-service bet, which means you make this bet yourself (i.e., you put your chips on the Pass Line yourself without the dealer’s help). The Pass Line is also known as the “front line.” You often hear the stickman bark, for example, “Winner, winner, front line winner.” At each end of the table, the Pass Line extends around the perimeter of the playing area within easy reach of all players.
